Sony's Going Green

Still have that betamax and wondering when Blockbuster will get more movies on beta?

Do you have a floor console TV that is used as a plant stand?

Feeling nostalgic and love the look of decorating with CRT monitors?

If you are slowly coming into the 21st century and want to get rid of those old dinosaur electronics, but don't want to toss in the trash to only sit in a landfill for eons to come...Sony is sponsoring a Go Green event across the US (click the link to find a location in your area).

For those of us in the H-town area, Nov. 15th from 9am to 4pm is D-day...and here are your locations:

Reliant Park
One Reliant Park Drive, Yellow Parking Lot, Houston, TX

Humble Civic Center
8233 Will Clayton Parkway, Humble, TX

Montgomery County Precinct 3 Recycle Center

A few thoughts on this HISTORIC day:

I’m so happy that I early voted! I’m so exicted about this election.

I’m heading to a friend’s apartment to watch some of the returns. Don’t worry! My carbon footprint won’t be too big due to the drive -- I took the bus into work on Monday to make up for the drive today (Clear Lake to Shepherd & 59) -- more on that bus “journey “ tomorrow.

The free cup of coffee from Starbuck’s today (for voters) was so cool! Didn’t they realize I’d stop off at every nearby Starbuck’s and get a free cup. Apparently, they don’t mind as I’m sure I’m not the only American who did this today.

OK, I just felt the need to say a few words today – more tomorrow….

AND YES, I’m a proud, American, Christian, green-loving, God-fearing Obama supporter!!!

TIP # 2:

Daily SHOWER MISTER, CLEANER, & SANITIZER: Cheap, Easy, & Enviro Friendly

This REALY WORKS!! I use this tip.

Don’t waste your hard earned cash on those shower sprays that you use daily after showering --- you know the ones you use in between your heavy duty shower cleanings ---- yeah, like you “really” clean the shower anyway. Those sprays are full of environmentally harmful substances.

Just pour HYDROGEN PEROXIDE into any spray bottle and mist the shower with that!

It works better than those expensive & “chemically challenged” sprays.
You can purchase two 16 ounce bottles of hydrogen peroxide for ONLY one dollar at any Dollar Store. While you’re there, pick up a spray bottle too.

BE SURE that you label the bottle & please recycle the hydrogen peroxide bottles that you purhcased.

There’s no smell and obviously, the hydrogen peroxide sanitzes and prohibits the growth of mold and mildew. (That's really important in the humidity ridden Dirty South.)
